Program Note
The familiar words of the song "He Leadeth Me" were written by Joseph Henry Gilmore (1834-1918). The tune for this arrangement, "By His Hand," was also written by the arranger and can be found in the current Salvation Army Tune Book. Two treatments of the song are included to help emphasize the central thought, "For by His hand He leadeth me."

The music should carry a gentle rhythm throughout the arrangement. Keep the melody prominent as played by various instruments. The final measure should suggest a quiet "amen."
