Envoy Gwalter was discovered to be deaf and mute in early infancy. He had the burden of blindness added during his 40s. But, in cooperation with his wife, Olive, he became a minister of the gospel, first in the Ontario Mission to the Deaf and secondly as an Envoy in The Salvation Army.
After 83 years of providing that the power of God is sufficient to cope with any adversity, Envoy Gwalter was promoted to Glory on November 7, 1982.
