Program Note
This music is written in the style of a march. It makes use of a simple Salvation Army chorus, from which the title is derived: "I want to live right, that God may use me, at anytime and anywhere."
Note to the Conductor
A bright, lively tempo should establish good rhythm and forward motion from the opening bars. Most importantly, work on making the quarter notes consistently detached throughout the ensemble.
There are numerous opportunities for dynamic contrast. For example, in measure 54 the mp should be enforced followed by the hairpin crescendo (at bar 57) that reaches up to f for the closing bars.
