Sunday School Songbook for Ukulele, Guitar and Piano

The SUNDAY SCHOOL SONGBOOK for ukulele, guitar, and piano is a sequential collection of 55 Sunday School choruses, hymns and holiday songs arranged in order from easiest to difficult. This resource was initially conceived for ukulele learners, but will prove equally useful for training beginning guitarists and keyboardists reading the chord or capo chord symbols. All songs in the Sunday School Songbook are presented both as a chord chart (lyrics with chord and/or lyrics with guitar capo chords), as well as in a lead sheet version (melody line, with lyrics and both chord and guitar capo chords). The capo chords allow for more guitar-friendly keys when playing along with ukulele and keyboard players. Furthermore, introductions and suggested tempos are indicated for each song and labeled along the way are songs used in the Musical Arts Proficiency (M.A.P.) Ukulele curriculum.

In the back pages of this collection are separate chord diagrams for ukulele, guitar, and piano for all chords used within this songbook. Additionally, there is a strum library filled with 34 different strumming patterns.

It is my hope that this resource can help bridge weekly corps music programming to Sunday School and Sunday Worship Services. This hope comes directly from the first song "I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N," a song that can be taught in one music class to ukulele, guitar and/or piano students and easily performed the very next Sunday.
